May 6, 2014 – Angelina Jolie Condemns Abduction Of Chibok School Girls By Boko Haram
Hollywood movie star Angelina Jolie today condemned the abduction of over 276 schoolgirls in Borno state Nigeria by Boko Haram Islamists.
In a news conference in Paris today, Angelina Jolie said:
“Sadly of course there is real evil in the world, you watch the news and you see all of the people suffering and so much cruelty,” she told a news conference.
“And it’s unthinkable cruelty like these girls that were kidnapped in Nigeria. Unthinkable cruelty and evil,” she said.
On the 14th of April 2014, Boko Haram attacked the students under the cover of darkness and loaded them into trucks. 53 of the girls managed to escape when the truck conveying them to an unknown destination broke down but over 220 of them are still being held by the dreaded Islamists.
In a video message obtained by AFP on Monday, Abubakar Shekau, threatened to sell the girls in the market.
