Another Liberian Man With Ebola Virus Sent To Yaba Lagos Isolation Center
August 20, 2014 – Another Liberian Man With Ebola Virus Sent To Yaba Lagos Isolation Center
Few days after a Liberian health official, Patrick Sawyer reportedly brought Ebola Virus into Nigeria, another Liberian with the killer virus has made his way into Lagos for treatment.
This was made known today by Doctor Akindele Akintayo, a Senior Consultant at Igbobi Orthopedic Hopsital.
He said the unidentified Liberian has been sent to the isolation center for Ebola victims in Yaba Lagos.
Hear what Akintayo said on Channels this morning:
“You need to know that there is another Liberian patient under observation that is being treated for Ebola in an Infectious Disease Hospital Lagos.
“Am not very sure if he is a new case or had contact with Patrick Sawyer,”
The doctor emphasized that people who died due to Ebola virus infection should be cremated to curb the outbreak of the deadly disease.
The problem we have in Nigeria today is our open-border policy. What does it take for Nigeria to shut her border temporarily to deal with this outbreak?.
Even Cameroon has closed down her border against Nigeria and other countries to prevent the deadly virus.
