Yesterday evening, the whole departure area of Lagos International airport was thrown into pandemonium.
According to Sahara, armed robbers attacked the busiest airport in Ikeja Lagos on Wednesday.
In the attack, two armed policemen were killed as the robbers stole an unspecified amount of money destined for foreign country.
Several international passengers were injured in a bid to escape for their life.
We learnt the armed robbers trailed a large amount of dollars in a bullion van en route to Dubai to the departure lounge of the Murtala Mohammed international airport. They attacked the carriers as they were carrying the bags of money into the departure lounge.
According to eye witnesses of this evil attack, several passengers on check-in queue to USA, Asia, Middle East and Europe were injured as they tried to escape the attack.
MMIA officials are yet to publish an official report on the attack.
