Several months after kidnapping over 200 teenage girls, tireless Boko Haram jidadists have taken over the entire town of Chibok in Borno State from the military..
According to a senator who also works as a local pastor in the troubled region, the terrorists captured the entire town on Thursday around 4pm forcing residents to flee for safety.
Alleged Boko Haram sponsor, Ali Ndume representing Borno south also told AFP that the insurgents destroyed telecommunication masts forcing residents to abandon their properties and flee.
“Chibok was taken by Boko Haram. They are in control,”. “There is no telephone service now in Chibok, which is why it took time before the reports reached me,” said Enoch Mark, a Christian pastor whose daughter and niece are among the 219 teenagers still being held by Boko Haram.
