August 15, 2014 – Former EcoBank Plc Branch Manager Arrested Over N81M Loan Fraud, Victor Amushie In EFCC Detention

Mr Victor Amushie, a former bank manager at Ecobank plc has been nabbed by the operatives of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over a loan fraud of 81 million naira.

The suspect allegedly packaged loan facilities for himself, using several names and accounts of some customers of his bank, with whom he shared the proceeds.

The loans went bad and the bank had to hold Amushie, who was on the verge of running out of the country before being apprehended by operatives of the EFCC.

The suspect is currently in EFCC custody with his passport seized.
