Group Plans To Wrestle Power From Adams Oshiomhole
August 20, 2011
Newly created group under the Edo state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), called “Restoration Project 2012”, yesterday, inaugurated its coordinators in the 18 Local Government Councils of the state, with a view to reposition the party ahead the 2012 Governorship election.
The state Coordinator of the group, Nosa Omorodion explained that the project is a special mechanism created by the youths and elders of the party with a view to realize the ultimate ambition of all committed members of the party and the desire of the disillusioned members of the Edo public.
According to him, “the task of removing the ACN from power is no doubt a daunting one. A great number of our people have been sucked into believing in the mirage created by the incumbent government”.
Through propagandist and impressionist strategies our people are at risk of being led into captivity a second time. But we must not allow this.
“Therefore the battle on ground is firstly to restore our party to power to continue the humane, people oriented and all round development policies and programmes which were unfortunately truncated by the court judgment in 2008. Secondly, our people need liberation from this suffocating administration which every action has been in contradiction of the well being of Edo people” he stated.
But the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Peter Okhiria, admonished the PDP youths to join the administration of Governor Adams Oshiomhole in its resolve to uplift the lives of the people of the state just like “most of the PDP leaders have done. The Governor is prepared to work with ever body to move the state forward. But let me also point out that their claim that this administration lacks focus is very laughable.
