July 30, 2012 – Gunmen Attack Nigeria’s Vice President (Namadi Sambo) House

Some unknown gunmen on motorcycle today attacked the family house of Namadi Sambo, the current Vice President of Nigeria in Tundun-Wada, Zaria.

A police officer in charge of the security of the house was injured in the attack which happened around 11a.m in the morning.

A shoemaker working close to the house was also shot dead by the gunmen who operated on the auto bike.

Namadi Sambo’s family house was attacked last year in the post poll violence that erupted after Nigeria’s presidential election, was still under construction.

The gunmen attacked the Vice President’s family residence and killed one person and shot a police officer guarding the house in the leg. – said Police Public Relations Officer , Aminu Lawan
