Israel Offers To Help Rescue Abducted Chibok Girls & Deploy Troops To Nigeria

May 11, 2014 – President Jonathan Accepts Israel’s Offer To Help Rescue Chibok Girls From Boko Haram & Deploy Troops To Nigeria

The PM of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu today offered to help Nigeria locate the female students abducted by Boko Haram terrorists last month in Borno state.

In a statement released today from the Prime Minister’s office, the PM put a call through to Nigeria’s President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

The statement reads:

“Israel expresses its deep shock at the crime against the girls,” it quoted Netanyahu as saying.

“We are prepared to help in locating the girls and to fight the cruel terror which has struck you.”

“President Jonathan welcomed the offer by Mr Netanyahu to send a team of Israeli counter-terrorism experts to assist in the ongoing search and rescue operations,” it said.

“The president briefed Mr Netanyahu on actions already being taken by Nigeria’s armed forces and security agencies to locate and rescue the girls, saying that Nigeria would be pleased to have Israel’s globally acknowledged anti-terrorism expertise deployed to support its ongoing operations.”

The April 14 abduction has caused worldwide outrage and offers of help from America and Canada.
