Iyabo Ojo Silence Movie Premiere Marred By Low Turnout, Movie Watchers Walked Out Of Cinema
Jan 15, 2015 – Low Turnout Mars Iyabo Ojo Silence Movie Premiere, Movie Watchers Walked Out Of Cinema
The highly publicised premiere of the movie produced by Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has suffered a major setback.
Silence, a movie on children abuse which featured celebrities like Ronke Ojo, Fathia Balogun, Doris Simeon and others was first premiered last Friday at the Silverbird Cinemas in Ikeja, Uyo and Port Harcourt.
The movie was shunned by many movie lovers who opted for more exciting movies instead.
Silverbird officials were forced to cancel the premiere and allocate another film to screen in the same hall.
Again this past Saturday, the movie premiered at 12:15pm in Ikeja Lagos and this time around Iyabo Ojo was present.
She came in around 11:34 with twelve people hoping for a good turnout but the reverse was the case.
Though the turnout was a bit better than the last one but 35 people were spotted in the big hall.
While the film was showing at least 4 people walked out of hall and never returned.
Worse still, inside the hall, viewers apparently aware of her presence, talked in hush tones, criticising the quality of the movie. The actress looked dull, very sad and unhappy.
If she had known what would befall her, she would not have opted for a Cinema movie.
Her marketer didn’t do a good job here.
