buky do you know how many soul that are wasting and going to hell? please dont judge or condem my pastor. it for the lord and we dont count the cost. Do you know how much people spend in shopping for just clothings that will one day wear away, and you are there crucifying a man of God who does not even have his own house in lagos yet made sure that their is a place of worship to God.madam buky i guess u would have prefered him using the money to buy a hummmer jeep so he can give you a lift while the children of God worship under the sun or rain. Please yopu are invited to the building dedication come April-August.

Bukky, I understand how you must feel but I believe that a church this big will be providing employment for a lot of people. A lot of administration and logistics goes into running large churches and there is no way the pastor can handle this himself. I also believe that they have buikt a massive building to accomodate the size of congregation that attends services with them. Even the building of the building would have provided employment for some people albeit temporary. Let us believe the best of people and give them the benefit of the doubt that their actions are of God.

I couldn’t have said it better Bukky. Just look around and see how many lives that money could have touched. This will be a celebrity church if u know what I mean. I would have loved men of God to lead by example and do something mega about relieving the sufferings of common man and many in hopeless situations.

    Happy worship anyway!

then what will be the work of the government and our politicians?
Do you know the amount of money that house on the rock church gives to prison inmates regularly, talk less of the homeless and street guys. do you know how much the money that u spend monthly on internet access will do in the life of a prison inmate or the guy on the sick bed? how many lives have u ffected personally? If u have, good!
Leave pastors alone and do ur own quota. I think we should all face these thieves that call themselves our leaders……. Just imagine..
      1. We reportedly spend 8 billion dollars annually on oil subsidy when the tallest building on earth was constructed with only 1.4 billion dollars. you need to get to dubai and see how much money they are making from tourists visiting this building.
      2. The world’s only 7 star hotel was built with only 800 million dollars.
more than what most poiticians and oil blocks owners scoop regularly.

When King Solomon built an astounding edifice for God, He was rewarded by God… Were there no poor people then? Haba? Did they use robots to build it? NO! They used people and I believe they were been employed and then paid… At least thats a contribution…

God needs a befitting sanctuary, fit for his worship. So I dnt c any reazn why people shld complain that a church was built at three billion naira. Let’s compare this with living faith church, winners chapel at ota in ogun state. An example; many nigerians live in mighty mansions and yet some churches are in total ruins. Tell me why God wnt be happy that a temple is built in his honour

I wonder y pple lov 2 critisize. If d #3b was used 2 acquire a jet u pple wil stil complain. Go and read d acct of David/Solomon temple u’l knw dat it was not just built wit precious stones alone but wit wisdom which God attest 2 it dat there wil neva b d kind of it even afta him(solomon). In the new translations of d Bible it was told dat d current treasures used was estimated 2b mor than a billion dollars of our curent currencies. That simply means no church auditorium in d world is as xpensive as dat. Even d pillars, offerin’s & sacrificies box ar made of ‘pure gold’….even d ark of covenant. Pls my pple read ur Bible vry wel & engage ursef wit somthn profitable. Most of d judges we av here ar idle pple, little wonder they ar ‘DEVEL’S WORKSHOPS. A word is enuf 4 d wise!

Bukky, you r right. Vanity upon vanity, the wise king says. People building monuments unto themselves in the name of God, copying American speakers. The end of it is never good. It is so sad that the church has allowed so much of the world to influence. So very sad.

While everyone is making arguments of why a church money wasn’t rather directed to the poor and all the defense played for Pastor Paul, my word is for everyone to be rather focused on God.

Many Christian talkers especially those in the church only believe in going to church. And maybe read the Bible and then pray. If anyone of you have financial problems, pray to God.The Bible says, ask and it shall be given. Another place says, let your request be made known unto the Lord. And listen people, do not wait for the church to announce a FAST before you do that. FAST AND PRAY.That’s the only quickest way to conquer the enemy.
The reason why many Nigerians are so broke regardless of all the hundreds of churches available is because many do not FAST AND PRAY as they ought to.The more sinful you are is the more FASTING and PRAYERS you should do with you praying for forgiveness first and covering you and everything that concerns you with the blood of Jesus before engaging in spiritual warfare. And then regardless of any appearance of impossibilities the devil present to you physically, just have FAITH that God will grant your request and the rant about why a church building fund is not giving to the poor will stop.

Pastor Paul is an intelligent, financially well to do pastor who has invested quality time in reading the Bible and general activities going on around the world.Yet, he still will organize a 21 days FASTING AND PRAYERS. Have any of you Jimmies wonder why? But many of you Jacks only wake up and probably do a 10 minutes prayer and wont even fast and you wonder why it ain’t working for you.

Enough. Go listen to my album and I’ll be in Nigeria to perform LIVE. My album also will be in stores for purchase.Buy my album and when you listen, pay attention to my lyrics.
God bless as you all listen.

Nigerian’s challenge isn’t money but poor implementation system.Where are all the billions of dollars declared on Power Projects,Health Sector,Agriculture,Millenium Development Goals, and etc.Bukky who can account for all these;now that only 3billion was used to build God a house you are complaining. Please I think you need to give it a rethink before making such statement.Over 250billion dollars spent and the unemployment and poverty rate in Nigeria keeps increasing.I commend the HOTR Worldwide for the lives they have been changing through the time,so many have been released from poverty and unemployment, many who were imprisoned have been set free, many goverment schools have been rehabilitated with computers, and lots of us who were at the back side of obscurity have been repositionedfor prosperity.God bless Pastor Paul and the HOTR Family Worldwide for building God an edifice that would last the test ot time.

We have a N3.00 billion church. We have the largest temple in the world with a sitting capacity of 100,000. We have other religious landmarks in this country. I just wish we could see a corresponding increase in morality and the fear of God!

    This said building is dedicated today, with the presence of President GEJ and Tony Blair. The building is called “THE ROCK CATHEDRAL METROPOLITAN CHURCH OF CHRIST IN LAGOS(AS A CENTER FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND NATIONAL TRANSFORMATION). The building contained;
    primary school
    A small secondary tutorial college
    A skill acquisition center
The International Bible Institute of Lagos
The African Institute of Business and Governance(Leadership School).

Its a home for reformation center. I watched the documentary of wath the church is doing and the testimonials of beneficiaries, its worthy to be mentioned. Go see for yourselves, you will thank God for this God’s will project. I was at the dedication today.

it a great thing to build a house for the lord———uhmmmmmmmmmm,no man can deceive thy lord ,we can only fool ourself, thy lord eyes can see all things hidden from man, building a house for the lord will not make you you to be in the kingdom, even the large crowd that worship will not make the man of god to be in the kingdom, worshipping the true god alone can save you, dont be deicieve with this worldly thing ,worshipping god that true god alone will save us -man of god search your heart and see that u are doing thy true thing of god ,for on the last day many shall not pass the text of the lord ,for the are fake and evil

Jesus Christ said, u always do have the poor with u. consider what Solomon invested in building a temple then u will realize that 3billion is nothing. The God we serve is not a poor God. He deserve the best. if God wasn’t pleased with the worth of the temple He wouldn’t have released his glory n wisdom on Oga Solo.
