Following the death of Shekau impostor, Boko Haram has released several voice-over videos of the leader in a bid to prove to Nigerians that he’s still alive.
Facts —> Shekau and his impostor are gone gone gone, all the videos being uploaded on YouTube are not new.
The new leader Boko Haram leader simply identified as Amir has been captured in Mubi, a city that was recently declared an Islamic Caliphate after it was captured from the military.
Amir was overpowered yesterday while flexing at Emir of Mubi’s palace and taken to an undisclosed destination.
Eyewitnesses who saw him at the time of his arrest said “He was not talking, he looked sad and angry,”.
He was described as a light-skinned man with a long beard.
As he was being bundled and tied with a rope, his disciples fled into the bush.
Local hunters reportedly chased after them, killing 75 of them.
There was jubilation in Mubi town yesterday following the successful arrest of the new Boko Haram leader.
Residents said they were excited that their homes had been liberated from the hands of the Boko Haram insurgents who had been chased out.
We learnt that top politicians in Adamawa sponsored Civilian JTF and hunters from Gombe, Kano, Bauchi and Borno state to battle the insurgents who planned to take over the entire state.
Civilian JTF coordinator, Bako Goni said more than 2000 residents have signed up to join forces to confront Boko Haram terrorists in Adamawa state.
