An attempt by some suspected Boko Haram insurgents to attack a military position in Gwoza, Borno State, in the early hours of Friday, were repelled by troops of the Nigerian Army.
The disclosure was contained in a statement by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations (DAPR), Colonel Sani Usman.
Usman said many weapons were recovered by troops in the encounter, which he said, lasted about two hours.
