Nasarawa Command of NIS, Nigeria Immigration Service yesterday deported 61 illegal immigrants, apprehended at different parts of the state, back to their home country.
It was gathered that the illegal immigrants were all from Niger Republic.
The state Comptroller, Mr. Baba Mamodu, said the illegal immigrants were arrested in the Lafia, Keffi and Agwanga areas during a simultaneous operation carried out by men of the command.
He disclosed that the illegal immigrants, who were doing menial jobs in the state, were between the age brackets of 20 and 35 years.
