July 2nd, 201 4- Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja Closed Down For 3 Days… No Flights Allowed
From Saturday the 5th of July to Monday 7th, the international airport in the capital of Nigeria will be closed down.
There will be no landing or take off at the airport until it is reopened on the 8th of July 2014.
A Notice to all airmen has already been issued at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Internatioal Airport in Abuja, notifying all airlines, sister agencies and critical stakeholders of the closure, said Yakubu Dati, FAAN Spokesman.
“This facility upgrade, which is in line with ICAO requirements and NCAA approved safety and Standard and Recommended Practices (SARPs), will further elevate safety and security to greater heights,” Dati said.
Imagine the amount of money Nigeria will lose within that short period.
