August 9, 2015 – Ogboni, Isoro Cultists Move Ooni Of Ife, Okunade Sijuwade’s Corpse To Obatala House, Ile Ase For Royal, Spiritual Power Removal Ritual
The body of late Ife monarch has been moved from Ilegbo where it was kept after arrival from London to Obatala House aka Ile Ase, which the Yoruba calls House Of Authority.
An Anonymous source at the palace said the body of the popular Royal Father had earlier been given a local embalment at Ilegbo before it was moved to Ile Ase where all the royal power given to him will be removed.
The source said Obatala house is not only unique and sacred but also very symbolic because it is the sacred city’s traditional power house where all the native powers and authorities he acquired from the gods must be reclaimed from the late monarch before he is finally laid to rest.
