Mr Segun Okeowo, a popular figure in the late 70s has passed on.

The ex President of NUNS (National Union of Nigeria Students) who led a national protest against Obasanjo’s government during the ‘Ali Must Goriot dies today of cardiac arrest.

According to a family source, he passed away at exactly 6:30 on Tuesday morning at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu, Ogun state Nigeria at age 73.

Segun Okeowo‘s death was confirmed by his son, Kolade Okeowo.

According to Kolade, his father was rushed to the aforementioned hospital after a sudden cardiac arrest. He gave up the ghost at the hospital hours later.

    He was my principal way back in Remo secondary school (rss) sagamu. The school standard was so improved when he came. Will never forget my encounter with him. Rest in peace chief segun okeowo. And I pray for peace for the family u left behind
