Togo’s Ambassador To Gabon & Girlfriend Killed In Libreville Car Accident While Returning From Night Club
Mr Essohanam Adewui, the Togolese ambassador to Gabon, a married father of two has died in a fatal car accident in Libreville.
The unfortunate incident happened this past Saturday while he was returning from a night club with his unidentified girlfriend. He reportedly drove into the Libreville sea where the two drowned before help could arrive.
Togolese government responded via a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
“the Ambassador of Togo to Gabon was found this morning drowned in his car with his girlfriend… the Department, on behalf of the head of State and Government, presents its sincere condolences to the bereaved family and reassures them that all arrangements will be made to know the exact circumstances of the death of the diplomat and repatriate the body to Lomé as soon as possible”.
The deceased was stationed in Libreville in 2011. The Togolese diplomat doesn’t live with his wife and children.
