Dec 22, 2012 – WAEC Seized 47,289 SSCE Results Over Examination Malpractices

WAEC (West African Examinations Council) yesterday claimed it had seized the examination results of 47,289 candidates from 396,614 candidates who took the November-December SSCE Exam. naijagists.com

Mr Charles Eguridu who heads WAEC’s national office in Nigeria disclosed this in a press briefing in Lagos yesterday. He said 11.04% of this year’s WAEC result were withheld due to examination malpractice.

These results are being investigated and the reports of the investigation will be presented to the Nigerian Examinations Committee of the Council shortly for consideration. The committee’s decision will be communicated to the affected candidates through our zonal and branch offices.”- Charles said

He further said as many as 413,266 individuals signed up for the exam, but only 396,614 of them actually sat for the exam.

    I did my exams on my own and my Maths was sure cos i’m sound in d subject but i saw an F9, is it possible they sell candidates’ results?

    It is not a crime to study hard and pass ur exams, bt somtyms, no mata hw hard we study our result will still be seized, jst like me and I guess I’m unlucky for now bt I beg u waec officials to release our result, bcos it’s nt everybody dat did d so called malpractise.tnks for ur undstndin
