68-Year-Old Nigerian Woman Delivers Twins Through CS After IVF Conception
An elderly woman broke records this month after giving birth to a set of twins.
The twins were delivered at LUTH Idi Araba on the 14th of April 2020 through C-section at 37 weeks gestation.
LUTH Chairman Prof Adeyemo said the IVF and embryo transfer were done at a facility outside LUTH.
Adeyemo further said that the woman was, thereafter, referred to LUTH at early gestation and was subsequently managed till she was delivered.
“This is the first in LUTH, Nigeria and Africa,” he said, adding that both the mother and the babies were in good conditions. (NAN)

Even though we see this as miracle, it is risky and unnecessary. This type is not what I wish for my enemy. Stress of childbirth alone may send her to early grave. It is a selfish decision

It’s a very heart warming fulfilment for every woman to have a child in their life time! I am happy for her, but at the same time I hope adequate upkeep is in place for the twins! I pray the kids don’t become liability when she’s gone! Congratulations ma!

I read some of the comments some people left, you don’t know how painful it is for being childless, now that God has answered her prayer you people are saying all sort of things. All you need to do us to assist her and the twins in your prayer.
