April 19, 2016 – 705,000 Nigerians Apply For 10,000 Jobs In Ongoing Police Recruitment As Unemployment Bites Harder
The Nigeria Police Force just received over 705,000 applications from Nigerian job seekers months after Buhari approved the recruitment of 10,000 policemen into the force.
Confirming the figure, Nigeria’s Police Service Commission (PSC) said it has received 705, 352 as at 7:30 a.m., April 19 from applicants seeking enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force.
He assured the media that the selection process will be transparent.
This show the staggering unemployment situation in Nigeria today.

Chai… I pity my country Nigeria. Just imagine that, 705,352 just for only 10,000 candidate wanted. I Just wish this is not another scam. The immigration saga still remain fresh on my mind.
This goes to show the jobless state of nigerians otherwise, I believe that almost half of the candidates that applied for the recruitment will not even look twice at the post for the police job.
May God help us in this country.

When I look at these people, and remember that most, if not all, of them once scorned the police because of their high degree of irresponsibility, I just shudder at what frustration could do to a man. It is the same thing that makes a man change his religion; the very same thing that makes a dog go back to its vomit.
This is why lazy people have overridden the police force. You do a job that you are passionate about. That way, you have good results and people appreciate you. But look at the horde that have besieged the police portal: all of them are there incidentally. It is possible that none of them had ever thought of joining the force until the very morning they heard about the recruitment.

Somebody has to do the policing job, thankless as it appears to be. This is a new generation of younger people so we can only hope they show themselves as being the much touted”greater tomorrow” and re-brand the. Police Force.
