Tension In Onitsha As Robbers Kill 5 At Petrol Station & Pharmacy Shop
According to The Nation, 5 people were killed with several others injured during a robbery attack in Onitsha Anambra state.
The attack reportedly took place at a pharmacy shop and petrol station hours after the state governor Willie Obiano launched a super smart closed circuit cameras, CCTV.
3 men and 2 women were killed in the attack that took place at the pharmacy shop along Awka Road and petrol station around Borromeo round about area of the commercial city.
According to witnesses, the robbers, numbering about six, drove into the petrol station at about 2.00 am, after being allowed access by the attendants who mistook them for customers.
“They killed one of the vigilante operatives on sight before gunning down a worker, who was woken up by the sound of barrage of gunshots.
“Another female sale’s attendant, who delayed when the masked pointer asked her for the key to the volt, was also killed,” the source said.
Witnesses said some commuters plying the area, including night travelers jumped out of their vehicles and scampered for safety.
