According to gistxpress magazine, whatever is done in darkness shall surely come to light! The wife of Bishop Eddie Long, Vanessa, the famed Atlanta megachurch preacher accused of sexual involvement with young men, has filed for divorce.

A statement released from the estranged wife reads:

“After a great deal of deliberation and prayer, I have decided to terminate my marriage to Bishop Eddie L. Long.

I ask that you respect my privacy and that of my family, as my attorneys and I have agreed that we will not try this case in the media, and I do not intend to make any further statements concerning this matter, I also ask that the public pray for my entire family during this difficult period of transition,”she said.

In summer, Bishop Long’s church, New Birth Missionary Baptist, denied rumors that his wife was moving out. The embattled Bishop reached a settlement with four men who accused him of coerced them into sexual acts with gifts and money.
