Bolanle Ninalowo Finally Divorces Wife Bunmi Years After Relocating To Nigeria
In a style synonymous with the glitz and glam that comes with Naija’s celebrity lifestyle, Nollywood heartthrob Bolanle Ninalowo has stepped out to caution the public, particularly the ‘keyboard warriors,’ to steer clear of his marital situation. This warning comes after he recently declared his separation from Bunmi, his wife, sparking a wildfire of rumors and speculations.
Hitting his Instagram page with a post that can only be likened to dropping a hot single on a cold night, Ninalowo made it abundantly clear that his marital hitches are nobody’s business but his own. This message appears to be a stinging clapback at the gossip mills that have been churning tales and half-truths about his personal life.
According to the seasoned actor, not only does he owe no one an explanation for his marital woes, but he also went further to slam bloggers for their ‘fake news’ circulations. “A conqueror doesn’t speak! I owe no one no explanation for my life decisions!! Bloggers are simply hypocrites in thirst for clout!!” Ninalowo fumed on his Instagram handle. It appears the actor is having no more of the unsolicited public intrusion into what he deems a private matter.
Not stopping at that, the actor cleared the air about old interviews that have resurfaced and are making the rounds on the internet. According to him, those interviews are relics from six years ago and pre-date his reconciliation and ultimate separation with Bunmi. “Any interviews circulating of me are old from 6yrs ago which was before I restored the marriage that has now finally ended! Na me dey jubilate, na una dey worry. God wey help me go help una 000…” He wrote.
For those who might have missed it, Ninalowo had initially announced the separation from his wife, Bunmi, on the 1st of September, a declaration that left the media and his fans aflutter. The actor, however, took the announcement in stride, without divulging any details that led to the breaking point of his marriage. This, in itself, has fueled numerous conspiracy theories about what could have gone wrong.
But if you are looking for Ninalowo to spill the beans or share the tea about what went down, you might as well save your data because the actor is not having it. He appears to be a man who prefers to let his work on the screen do the talking rather than engage in public mud-slinging or ‘clout chasing,’ as he refers to it.
The gravity of this situation reveals the double-edged sword that comes with celebrity life in Nigeria. On the one hand, the fans feel entitled to know every nitty-gritty detail of a celebrity’s life. On the other, celebrities, who are humans first, want their privacy respected, especially regarding family and marital matters that can be incredibly sensitive and emotionally charged.
The Nollywood sensation’s stern warning thus calls for reflection, especially in the age of social media where the boundary between the public and private lives of celebrities becomes increasingly blurred. His statement is an echo that serves as a reminder that even in the glamorous world of lights, camera, and action, there are real people with real issues that deserve privacy and respect.
Also of note is Ninalowo’s assertion that he’s celebrating despite the circumstances. “Na me dey jubilate, na una dey worry,” he quipped. This may indicate a sense of relief or even liberation, as the case may be, and it begs the question: should the public respect the actor’s call for privacy? Is there a need to revisit the social norms that make marital issues fodder for public consumption?
As the actor has succinctly put it, “God wey help me go help una 000…” Indeed, in a nation where spiritualism often interweaves with daily life, Ninalowo invokes a higher power, suggesting that whatever he has gone through or will go through, he is not walking the journey alone. It also implies that those who find his marital affairs amusing or intriguing should rather seek divine intervention in their own affairs.
All these pose existential questions that Ninalowo’s dramatic and somewhat abrupt Instagram post raises. Whether or not these questions get answered is a story for another day. But one thing is clear: Bolanle Ninalowo has drawn the line in the sand, and he dares anyone to cross it at their own peril. In an industry that thrives on news, both good and bad, Ninalowo’s ‘keep off’ sign on his marital affairs is as epic as some of his blockbuster movies. And like any good story, this too shall pass, and the actor will move on to new chapters, hopefully with lessons learned and wisdom gained. But for now, the message is clear: Ninalowo’s marriage is off-limits! So, to all the gossip peddlers and clout chasers, you have been warned!

Who cares if he is divorcing so what and no big deal he’s a human being not God…that’s their business if the want to split.. His dumb fans seem to not believe it’s true.. They praised his wife “ oh she’s so beautiful and pretty” yeah bleaching and body alterations can make you look like you want but that don’t keep a man rich or poor.. it’s his life and it’s their business people need to get over it!
