Bolanle Ninalowo Nino B: I Was Born A Muslim But Now A Christian
Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo has finally revealed his spiritual stand.
In this chat with Sunday Scoop reporter, Tofarati Ige, the Picture Perfect actor said although he was born a Muslim, life’s storm turned him into a Christian.
His words:
“When I was going through dark times, I started reading my Bible and began to understand better how life works.”
Don’t forget that I was born a Muslim. I have never actually been to church to worship but I renew my covenant with God in my room.
It has worked for me over the years, though I realise I may have to go to church at some point. However, I would feel more blessed worshipping with my wife because without her, things wouldn’t be complete.”
The Nollywood hunk also maintained that spirituality was a thing of the heart and not necessarily about being religious.
“A lot of people out there are just religious but they don’t have the love of their creator in their hearts,” explained the actor. “If you love God, it will be exhibited in how you act, not by what you say.
You can go to church or mosque every day but if you don’t love God and your fellow man, you are just deceiving yourself. I have an intimate relationship with my maker and that’s what counts. I communicate with Him regularly and He guides me accordingly.”
Nino B, whose career has been on a steady rise, insisted that nothing had changed about him.
“I am happy for where God has taken me but I can tell you for free that it wasn’t a bed of roses.
When I first moved back to Nigeria from the United States, a lot of people felt I was losing my mind. I invested millions of naira in my record label, yet I didn’t make a dime.
It was quite depressing but I chose to remain focused, believing that ultimately, things would get better.
“I have been getting a lot of rave reviews but I don’t let such things get to my head. I am grateful for where my career is right now, but I have bigger dreams and I am focused on where I am going. I want to thank all my fans because they are the ones who have got me to this point. I implore them to keep supporting me and we would do a lot of great things together,” he said.

You see, these people claiming to be former muslims and converted to christianity only do so in most cases for materialism not conviction of religion understanding itself. What i mean by that is, Islam restricts certain things for our own benefits/salvation purposes. But these things are allowed by christianity bcus christianity is reformed. Was by White people to conform with thier lifestyle. In another word, christianity of today is different from Jesus religion. Christianity today is synonymous to modern western but uses Jesus as lid cover.
This is why if you put christian and muslim side by side for a debate, christianity will not make sense to you but christian will still go ahead and remain there. Why?. Bcus they want to be able to do whatever they want bcus they have abandoned their Laws. They restricted their Laws to Book but not in practice. Islam on the other hand doesnt necessarily stopped you from doing whatever you want. Islam says “if you don’t have shame, do whatever you want”. But in the end when you enter your grave, it is not gonna be funny.
Another point is, those who claimed to be former muslims, which in some cases it is true that they used to be muslims. They converted to christianity for materialism by means of seeking miracles. They think Islam is religion of poverty. But then ask them if there are no poor christians?.
Very few of them actually turned christian for religious conviction. That’s, if they are truly convinced christianity is the way?. Very few do this. Either way, christians of today have nothing to do with Jesus the son of Mary, the messenger of God.
Amanda u are devoid of simple understanding of what is Christianity. What is ur personal experience in ur relationship with ur Maker outside being fanatic about the written laws? Christianity enables u 2 create a relationship of talking & hearing from God & not the materialism u are trying 2 equate with it. I think there should not be a case of a Muslim converting to a Christian or a Christian converting to a Muslim. We see and hear people converting daily. We just have to let our lifestyle tell who we are. We should not let religion separate us. We need to be open minded so we can live in peace and harmony. For someone to say you are a Muslim so I will not watch your movie again, or you are a Christian so I will not watch your movies again, my question is are you learning something from the movie? We should not be sentimental

Some of us were given the hearts to wake up in the middle of the night for Tahajjud prayer or Night vigil in our entire lives.
Some of us have the ability to fast from Monday through Sunday but never be able to wake up for prayer in the middle of the night. Some of us as Muslims can only fast during the month of Ramadan but not be able to pray 5 times daily. Whatever religion we choose to practice, does that mean God has chosen one religion over the other? I think not.

Some of us don’t have the strength to carry on with the above but their own is just keeping a clean heart and putting smiling face on other people all the time.
On the order hand we have seen a lot of religious leaders both in Christianity or Islam worshipping mammon and devil. Don’t let us place too much emphasis on religion.
Don’t ever think those not doing yours, are not religiously strong. Never take yours as better than others’.
Anyone can earn ALLAH favors just by quenching the thirst of a dog and another individual may earn God’s favor by just forgiving his wrong doers daily before he goes to bed.
Someone may walk through the gate of heaven with very little regardless of how unimportant people consider him to be,
While others with far greater deeds perish because of their arrogance and showing they’re closer to God than others.
Some are not Church or Mosque goer, don’t be surprised when they lead you in walking through the gate of Heaven for something good they have secretly done for the sake of ALLAH.
Dear Brothers and Sister do not look down on others thinking they’re Unbelievers because of religion.
On the Judgment day they might be the first ones to sit beside the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) or Prophet Hisa (Jesus) due to something good they have done in secrecy which is beyond human comprehension.
Please let God alone be the judge of all. Judge others not, but yourself because God knows the true believers. Religion alone may not be sufficient for all to secure the kingdom of heaven Or Al Jannah.
