June 19, 2015 – Buhari Sells 9 Out Of 16 Presidential Aircrafts, Saves Nigeria N12 Billion Yearly
President Muhammadu Buhari has started fulfilling his anti-corruption agenda promise to Nigerians.
Today, PMB ordered the sale of 9 out the 16 Presidential aircrafts to cut cost..
A Nigerian Air force source who requested anonymity said the Presidential fleet has 2 Dassault Falcon 900 jets, a Gulfstream IVSP, a Gulfstream V, a Dornier Do 228, a Beechcraft King Air B200, and 3 Augusta Westland AW139 helicopters that cost over 12 billion for annual maintenance.
The source said the order received from Buhari will save the country at least 12 billion annually.
Nigeria’s Presidential fleet is one of the biggest in Africa and is said to be the 3rd largest in Africa after the commercial carriers, Arik Air and Aero Contractors.
Note: The Presidency is yet to confirm this, the plan was leaked by a Nigerian Air Force Officer.
