Dear Aunty Temilolu,
I came across your article for the first time today and I wish I was still a virgin. I am only 16 but got deflowered in February. I loved my boyfriend so much that I began to misbehave. We had sex countless times and there was even a day I slept in his place and I saw nothing bad in it. However, I stopped having sex with him because I didn’t just feel like it anymore. In the last two weeks, it’s been difficult to take my mind off the fact that I’m no longer a virgin. I have been crying in regret as I feel used by my boyfriend. I now took a decision to work very hard for a great future. I just want to be a celebrity. I’m not going to engage myself in marriage but will give birth to at least a child who will inherit my property. I was so stupid to do these to myself and to think I have so many potential – I dance, sing, act and can drum perfectly. I regret my actions. Please reply on my phone as I don’t have access to newspapers. God bless you ma.

My darling anonymous,
I feel the urge to scold you but wouldn’t do so because you realised your fatal mistake before you stumbled on my article. However, I must let you know your background i.e. the type of home you come from, which is going to determine your values in life worries me! Why would you think it’s okay for a 16-year-old to spend the night in her boyfriend’s house? Believe me, no reasonable American parent would allow that, least of all Nigerian parents! I wonder where your parents were or where you told them you were spending the night and frankly speaking I doubt they are all over you and ensuring you lead a morally-upright life! I feel sorry for you because to a certain extent, you appear to be a reasonable girl who is mindful of her future and one who knows the special gifts she has. And I can tell you the stupid, bad devil loves to attack gifted children like you because it knows if it’s able to derail you in your teens, it would be most difficult for you to manifest God’s glory!
I must let you know that in these end times, YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO BE LUKEWARM. THE DEVIL HAS TAKEN OVER THE WORLD AND WOULD EASILY TAKE OVER ANY LIFE THAT’S NOT SOLD OUT TO GOD!
What were you thinking my dear? Why were you sharing your life with a complete stranger and expending your energy in opening the spiritual gates of your life and allowing strange spirits from a destiny that’s not your business to co-habit with you? Just check out all the talents you’ve been blessed with by God which a lot the world over are going to school to learn! Did you know your name could be heard all over the world within two years with those wonderful gifts? Don’t be foolish my love! I tell you some of these gifts must have been designed by God to make you shine in your teens and WHAT GOD HAS DESIGNED TO MAKE YOU SHINE IN YOUR TEENS WOULD NOT HAPPEN IN YOUR 20S OR 30S except God gives you other opportunities. However, what if they don’t ever come because of your spiritual dullness? Is any boy or man worth all you know you can achieve?
Can you see how 90% of teenage love affairs are unnecessary, foolish and unproductive? A few months ago you thought the sun rose in his eyes; today you are wishing you never met him. NOT SO?
My dear, I’m most delighted you realised your mistake so soon and willing to retrace your step! I won’t bother advising you on not marrying and so on in future because by the time your soul is in sync with the spirit of God, your thoughts would not only change, God would be the sole-driver of your life. I just can see how glorious your future would turn out! But first, go and start using those talents in the house of God, follow Him with all your heart and watch how He would turn you to a one-in-a-generation star! I love you my sweet!
