Nov 17, 2017 – Facebook Posts By Sokoto Primary School Teacher Goes Viral Over Grammatical Errors

Check out what a Primary School teacher in Sokoto posted on Facebook on Tuesday.

His name is Abubakar Siddiku Iliyasu yyb.

According to his Facebook profile, the graduate of Usmanu Danfodiyo University currently works as a teaching assistant in Sokoto.

It is now obvious the education system in some part of the country needs a complete overhaul.

Imagine a teacher impacting knowledge into kids who can not even express himself in English language on the social media.

Nigerians are still recovering from the shock the mass sack of incompetent teachers in Kaduna caused.

We hope this will not cause a repeat of Kaduna-like mass sack in Sokoto.

Meanwhile, some Nigerians have started firing at him on the social media.

See their comments..

He even fired back at someone who tried to correct him.

Chai!!!!. Naija needs God’s intervention.

Folks, I suppose that my ability to communicate in nine language (mostly in simple sentences) renders me qualified to judge the man in question. First of all: what is his mother tongue; what is the language of instruction in question–English? did he study in English; and does he use the language daily?

We should also understand that, though one is expected to be fluent in the language of instruction, he probably has a disability in grammatical comprehension.

Furthermore, is the poster really a teacher?
