This is fantastic.
This is fantastic.Very inspirational.
This is a good one. I home those “home breaker” ladies are hearing this? instead, of poeple to concentrate in their business, they want concentrate on intruding into another persons home, in the bid to snatch husbands. See your mate during well here
It really shows that nigeria is the best in African, having both male and female rechest in Africa and at thesame time Nigeria is the poorest government… Big ups to Nigerians private sectors
she is a very determined & inspired lady. She has proved the saying “hard work”pays off.
Am really happy for her,in next 10 years if nigeria does break,Nigeria will rule african again
She is indeed an Iconic figure in Nigeria and Africa at large. May your good deeds continue!!!
For some weird reason I can’t explain I am not inspired by her. I read an article about the sources of her wealth. She came from a wealthy background, is involved with oil and had deals with past military leaders and their wives, meaning she has unequal access and connections to making further wealth. I donno but I rather pick Oprahs story of rising from nothing any day anytime. Oprah gives me hope, its not just about the money.
Lovely mother, caring mother. The lord will crown ur effort and thy Lord will reward u
Always knew African Brothers and Sisters would come to the forefront, the cream always rises to the top.
Very well put!
It's great to see an African woman in such a positive light – considering the fact that Western media tends to portray a narrow-minded, negative view for the most part. Congrats to the richest Black woman alive!
I love Nigeria….who would have thought.
Very well said Realist! You’ve got a strong point there. But all the same,I’m proud she’s a Nigerian.
The “quality” of the comments here is quite depressing. The only person who had anything deep to say so far is “realist”. All other comments are mundane, shallow, and show no insight whatsoever e.g. “God, make me like her”. “Always knew African brothers and sisters would come to the forefront” Sheesh!!! Because of ONE billionaire in a country with millions of people living beneath the poverty line???? How is this something to be proud of? This is not a personal attack on Alakija, but rather on the shallowness of people who equate the exorbitant wealth of ONE person with progress for the country, or who imagine that the world now looks at Nigeria with a positive light because it has managed to provide the world’s richest woman. I think we should rather be talking about how to address the stark and totally unacceptable contrasts in a country where the resources belonging to all make a few extremely rich, while the vast majority live in unbelievable penury!
Broother right his CEO is probly a poor working gay so this proves she’s just a greedy b**ch.
Well said, Mo. I couldn’t agree with you more.
In reading Alakijo’s bio I noted that she is giving back through her charitable works. In the US whenever there is any community project going on the first people approached for financial help with the project are the well off and the rich. They donate. Look at the lists of contributors noted in the printed accolades. These people have worked hard for their success and should be applauded for it. It never ceases to amaze me how others attempt to spend other people’s money while they give nothing but lip service. Just think: if EVERYONE provided services either financial or service wise to the best that they are able there would be no poverty or uneducated.
Sincerely am happy she is Nigerian, only wish had d kind of upbringing and exposures she had while growing Up.Mayb wud av also become the World richest black woman alive! ’v graduated for a while nw without any tangible job.D ‘resources dt belongs to all is making only d few extremely rich while d vast majority live in unbelievable penury’. The kind of connection she has bfre nw will always make her rich abeg.
