January 19, 2018 – Fulani Herdsmen Kill Farmer In Ogun State After Their Cattle Destroyed His Farm Produce

Some suspected herders have killed a farmer on his farmland in Ogun State.

The victim identified as Adetona Owolabi was allegedly killed on Thursday in his farm at Afon, Imeko-Afon local government area of the state.

The incident occurred few hours after the Ogun State Government took proactive measures to prevent clashes between herdsmen and farmers in the state.

According to local residents, the deceased was working on his farm located few metres away from the Afon bridge along Owode/Abeokuta road when he observed that herds of cattle were grazing on the farm and ate his cassava, yam and vegetables.

Eyewitnesses said the herdsmen attacked him with machetes for daring to challenge them for allowing cattle into his farmland and destroyed all the farm produce.

The victim, who was in his mid-60s, suffered cuts all over his body and bled to death before help could reach him. The attackers fled the place after the incident.

  1. president Buhari is a disgrace he is nothing but a failure for allowing this to continue in Nigeria cows are now more important than human beings in Nigeria

  2. Let me ask those who blindly entrusted their security to the Federal Government: who is going to prosecute or fight for this man and others that will get the same fate? Every town, city, village and settlement in the south must prepare for total onslaught. It is now clear that the Federal Government is anachronistically set up and lacks the will to do anything positive about the problems. Can you imagine; Fulanis from Niger and chad Republic are killing us, Nigeria has degenerated into shit!

  3. EVERY VILLAGE, TOWN Or City should by now have known that they ought to have embark on self defence to save their neck, or wait on the govt at their peril and sorry fate.

Apart from that, I am still sounding my old slogan, please my Christian brothers and sisters antwhere in Nigeria, once again, I implore you all please LET‘S STAY OFF BEEF FOR NOW AND MAKE DO WITH OTHER SOURCES OF MEAT AND LET‘S STOP SELLING OUR FOODS TO FULANI ESPECIALLY.

We are empowering them by patronising them and they in turn are using that to not just to fight us but to kill us.

Why can‘t we just stop and see the outcome?
THIS IS NOTEWORTHY… Do you know that muslims don‘t eat any animal slaughtered by Christians? So why can‘t we do thesame?

Its a shame that we don‘t know our rights as Christians and have allowed all these uncircumcised philistines to play down on us while promoting themselves as more superior.
If they can reject our meat tell me why can‘t we them for Christ sake?

Trust me, they can‘t cope for even 3 months if we stop patronising them especially the fulanis.

    I take a stroll…

  4. There should be a total ban on grazing, afterall, cattle rearing is not the only agro business. State govts are still joking with the lives of their citizens as far as I am concerned. Just as indian hemp is outlawed, grazing must be outlawed

  5. Something is not right. I don’t support banning grazing. That’s not the solution. Yoruba proverb says, “ori bi be ko ni ogun ori fi fo”.

What they need is proper coordination. Every culture and ethnicity in nigeria favors or benefits each other one way or another through agriculture et. The problem is irresponsible govt. This doesnt left state govt out. Yes, Buhari should have spoken out but responsibilities lie more with state govts.

Everything is not about Buhari. Blaming the man solves nothing. And i definitely wont support his re-election. That makes no sense.
