Few weeks ago, the governor of Rivers State Nigeria, Rotimi Amaechi tweeted a lovely birthday message to his wife, Mrs Judith Amaechi.
The birthday message came with a photo of the governor curling himself around his wife in a romantic manner.
“The rumour about me and Prof Soyinka’s daughter is a big outrageous lie! It’s certainly part of the ongoing political campaign to smear me and prof Soyinka” – Amaechi tweeted
He didn’t forget to address the false story of domestic abuse issue in his marriage:
“I have never and never assault my wife Judith. I love her so much and she loves me too. Our marriage dey kampe“- he added.

It is obvious that these pictures were photoshopped to create the impression of a love- tangled couple.
Take a closer look at the Christmas cap on Amaechi’s head in the second picture.
Anybody living in Portharcourt with an “ear to the ground” ( apologies to James Hardley Chase) knows the physical and verbal abuse Judith was going through that made her flee abroad. It is an open secret in Port Harcourt.
I know some of you will say I am an Amaechi hater, Truth is sacrosanct and must be told, we can’t be deceived for too long.

Even if there was something wrong before and they have made it up, is there anything bad in that? I love Amaechi because with all the brouhala going on around him, the guy remains stable. I can’t forget the other day when I saw him dishing out difference dance steps. In fact, the man is an interesting man jooo. I wish and your lovely wife the best. Congrats
