Dec 4, 2014 – Ikeja Lagos Car Dealer Killed By Armed Robbers After Collecting Payment From Customer At Bank

An Ikeja-based car dealer has been shot dead by some suspected hired killers in Lagos.

40-year-old Lukmon Oluwasheun was killed yesterday by robbers at a bus stop in Egbe after he drove his customer to the bank to collect the balance of a bus he delivered to him.

Police say the victim was shot by robbers who operated on motorcycle moments after he left the bank around 2:00pm yesterday.

According to police investigation, a customer named Dotun negotiated the price of the bus with Oluwasheun, he asked him to supply the bus for a certain amount and promised to pay the balance when he brought the bus to his Egbe office.

It was learnt that Oluwasheun drove the bus to Egbe where he met Dotun. After that, Dotun reportedly took Oluwasheun to a nearby bank and withdrew some money and paid him the balance.

After collecting the money and as they were going back to Dotun’s office where the bus was parked, two men on a bike double-crossed them and demanded for the money.

The robbers shot Oluwasheun at close range but spared Dotun.

Witnesses reported the matter to the police and Dotun was arrested after being fingered as the prime suspect.

The corpse of the deceased had been deposited at Isolo General Hospital.

The car dealer is an odenson, no dealer accept money from customers again.
You tell them to deposit it at the bank and bring the slip and dont ever drive a car to any customer tell them to come to the office
if they bring you money, don’t accept it, tell them to go and pay it at the bank.
I’m a dealer learn from it.

That guy Dotun is a prime suspect in this case. This is an organized crime perpetrated by Dotun and his would be cohorts. Some people who have watched investigating programs on ID channel will agree with me that your close pal or business associates are mostly the person of interest especially in a case like this. Dotun will never deny that he knew nothing about Oluwaseun’s death unless if there is unknown suspect who was aware that Oluwaseun was heading to the bank on that awful day otherwise the law enforcement already have their man in custody. The most gruesome part of this was how that man was killed after taking his money. Does killing really necessary in this scenario? I’m really scare of this Country where your life can be taken away from you within a twinkle of an eye. How do you want those in diaspora to come back and invest in their motherland? The only place that rivalry in senseless homicide is Mexico even Nigeria has topple Mexico in terms of crime.

The car dealer must be the desperate type. Its no longer fashionable doing cash-at -hand businesses anymore. In my little experience as a legal practitioner i’m digitally compliant.I major more in cash-in-the-Bank transactions before accepting retainership. Nowadays, Humans are diehard demons.
