INEC Staff Sells 4555 Stolen Nigerian National Identity Cards To Fraudsters In Calabar Cross River State, Suspects Arrested
An unidentified male INEC staff is currently on the run after he was accused of selling 4555 stolen National Identity cards of Nigerians to fraudsters in Calabar Cross River state.
Cross River Police command on May 19 nabbed the suspected fraudsters on Eyo Edem street in Calabar for unlawful possession of 4555 National ID cards.
During investigation, the suspects confessed that one official of the Independent National Electoral Commission sold the cards to them.
Cross Rivers Police Commissioner Hafiz Inuwa said efforts are ongoing to arrest the alleged INEC staff with the help of the suspects.
