okorocha tragedy imo state

October 17, 2017 – Jacob Zuma Statue: Why Rochas Okorocha’s Leadership Is A Monumental Tragedy To Imo State

By Okechukwu Nwafor, Awka,

President Jacob Zuma of South Africa visited Nigeria, apparently invited by Imo State governor in southeastern Nigeria. Zuma visited Imo State where he beheld his sculpted statue, and welcomed by a scandalously petty assembly of political rascals. Yes that is what I call them, for that is what Imo politicians are under Okorocha!

I wonder why people are shocked at this bizarre happening. No one should be surprised because Okorocha found in Zuma that quintessential rascality that constituted their politics. Okorocha’s political imaginary cannot deviate from Zuma’s: both suffer from that strange illusion of being great in the eyes of their people.

That was why Okorocha compared himself to Martin Luther King Junior and Zuma compared himself to Mandela. Both are constantly deluded that the ‘sangoma’ effect (juju effect) of their politics is effectively yielding positive result. They thought that the people are bewitched by their daily chicanery. If not why would Zuma stand in front of that mockery sculpture that does not even resemble him to pretend that he is as great as Madiba?

Both Okorocha and Zuma regale in the brutal instrumentality of power: they indulge in monumental excesses through which they fritter away their people’s commonwealth. Imagine the monumentally sized cakes Okorocha cut to celebrate his birthday! The real costs of the cakes may construct 20 kilometre road in Imo State. What of Zuma’s numerous corruption and rape charges? Okorocha found in Zuma a brother Moradona playing the dirty game of politics with great dexterity.

Nigeria as a nation could not celebrate Madela in this deserving fashion, only for a rascal governor to deceive himself with Zuma. If I were Zuma I would not come to Imo so that my nuisance value would not expand beyond South Africa to engulf the most populated nation in Africa, Nigeria. Chukwu aju! Zuma go back to South Africa and face Julius Malema and co. Go back and clean the table you desecrated.

In conclusion, this Okorocha effect is a monumental tragedy and can summarily be described as the rascality of leadership in Imo State.

  1. Dey belong to the same cult. He is just fulfilling his obligation as a faithful brotherhood of darkness member

  2. SAME COUNTRY KILLING OUR PEOPLE AND THEIR BUSINESSES WHILE THEIR MAJOR COMPANY BOOSTS IN NAIJA.EVEN MANDELA STATUE WASNT EVEN ERECTED IN MOST PARTS OF THE SOUTH OR EASTERN AFRICA BUT THIS MUMU WHO CANNOT PAY SALARIES OR GET RID OF CRIMINALS IN HIS STATE WANTS TO CELEBRATE MEDIOCRITY .THE GLUTTON WHO CANNOT EVEN BUY OR BORROW GYM EQUIPMENT TO GET IN SHAPE DESERVES A MENTAL EVALUATION.HE EVEN RISKED IMPEACHMENT BEFORE HIS MISERABLE TENURE ENDS.

  3. Its a pity there are no mechanism within the federal government structure to constantly checkmate the annual expenditure of each state governor in order to ascertain if there spending has been strictly focused on basic infrastructural development of there state or otherwise. We need such government mechanism in place to help in monitoring the misappropriation of public fund and lavish spending peculiar to state governors in Nigeria. If a state governor can spend N520 million naira on a statue of a foreign president who is currently battling to exonerate himself from the accusation of rape, corruption and has largely kept quiet while many of our people are been gruesomely murdered mostly by his country’s police force, then it calls for petitioning of such governor. Much could be achieve if such humongous amount of money is spent on infrastructural development so as to better the lives of people of imo state. Its a total shame on our part to be known earthwide as a people who often celebrate people with history of corruption. It stagger so many when they watch us throwing extravagant parties, spending lavishly on corrupt political criminals while neglecting the stain, shame and disgrace it would bring us in the eyes of the world. Indeed Rochas Okorocha is a monumental tragedy to the people of imo state.

  4. It was an initiation ceremony that was witnessed by other occutic members like Obasanjo, Okorocha, Zuma, and many other that took place in Imo state. Why building a gigantic structure for a president who is highly unpopular in his home country and his currently facing many corruption and criminal charges in South Africa? This is a president on his watch in which many innocent Igbo and Yoruba immigrants living in South Africa were brutally murdered by his wicked people for no other reason but because of jealousy. This is a demonic initiation of president Zuma of South Africa to deadly secret cult based in Nigeria for more power, fame, and money. But the wicked who surely be destroyed by the mighty hand of God Almighty. Only God know how many millions of naira spent to build such demonic status for a criminal and blood sucking demonic Zuma in the present of his wicked fellows like Obasanjo and Okorocha. Nigerian people are struggling daily to survive hardship but our politicians have the audacity to use public funds to build demo if alter for Zuma. What a nation! God will judge the wicked.
