Meet Kate, Russian Woman Who Rides Keke Napep For Living In Nigeria

Kate, a Russian woman who now works as a tricycle rider in Nigeria, recently shared her experience living and working in the country. Kate, who loves to travel, revealed that she initially wanted to travel across Africa but fell in love with Nigeria after visiting the country for the first time.

“I just wanted to travel across Africa, but fell in love with Nigeria,” she said.

Kate also shared that sometimes one needs to adapt to the country’s nature, as there is food scarcity and frequent power outages. She explained that she was living in Europe before coming to Africa, but her stay there was becoming boring, so she decided to travel around Africa.

She visited Morocco and Egypt first but felt that those countries were not the main African countries, so she decided to explore more. Eventually, she settled in Nigeria.

Kate also talked about her work. She was a taxi driver in Russia but decided to start her own business to be free from control. This enabled her to go on vacations whenever she wanted. She also noted that Nigerians are very friendly and many have been good to her.

She is now a tricycle rider and a content creator, having been featured in multiple videos including comic skits. She believes that Nigeria has a lot of potential and she is happy to be a part of the country’s progress. Despite the challenges she faces, she remains optimistic and enjoys her life in Nigeria.
