January 9, 2017 – Frustrated Nigerian Teachers In Kwara State Embark On Prayer & Fasting To Ensure Payment Of 6 Months Salary
Both primary and secondary school teachers in Kwara state have commenced a spiritual exercise to ensure the prompt payment of their 6 months salary arrears by the Kwara state government.
NUT (Nigerian Union of Teachers) Deputy Chairman, Toyin Salihu disclosed this in a chat with NAN in Ilorin today.
Salihu said the teachers have volunteered to continue their fasting and prayers until God answers them.
He added that the unpaid six months arrears had added to the untold hardship being experienced by the teachers and their relations.

Hmm, this administration is something else. I have an uncle who is a chairman in that state, that hasn’t bn paid salary for months. (Also an APC member) who APC EPP, should come out and talk!

Six months salary owed ? That is already some serious fasting imposed on the teachers. This current fasting is only additional. Please God intervene for the resulting hardship is very frightening.
Salary is the only thing a civil servant has in this era that promotions are few and far between and even when promotions are given no arrears of financial benefits accompany same. Government shake body a beg !!!

SO DEM NEVER SOLVE THIS MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE BUT THEY HAD D BIAS MINDS TO SOLVE THAT OF REDEEM BCOS OF SELFISH INTEREST ? THEY SHUD SEND rotimi ameachi to cause more havoc in d state .yeye wey de smell !!.WORKERS HAVEN,T BEING PAID FOR SIX GUD MONTHS ,YET THEY LEFT THAT ONE TO SETTLE A MATTER IN A CHURCH THAT DOESN,T HV TROUBLE . Am from kwara state, it is vary unfortunate am from that state with sen bukola saraki, not just six months; there are alot of atrocity, for instant I’ve been working for the past 12years i only got one promotion, i don’t know how they calculate there own promotion cos it suppose to be 3years interval at most. For those who retired, hmmm, for their gratitude, the last bag they paid were the set of 2009. So if u retire by 2016 u will collect your gratitude by 2021. May God Have Mercy on us.
