Methodist Church Of Nigeria Decries Methodist Church Of England’s Adoption Of Same Sex Marriage

The Prelate, Methodist Church Nigeria, Most Rev. Samuel Uche, has decried the decision of the Methodist Church in England to adopt the same sex marriage and other forms of gay and lesbian activities.
Uche spoke on Thursday while briefing newsmen at the Wesley House Marina, Lagos, saying that same sex relationships were contrary to God’s principles and laws.
“The British people told us that polygamy and polyandry is bad; why are they becoming morally and spiritually deprived?
“We will never accept it; Methodist Church Nigeria will not accept it, as the official mouthpiece of Methodist Church Nigeria and Diaspora.
“What I am saying now is the opinion of the church; we will not allow and accept it, and if they go ahead to ratify it by 2020, we will severe relationship and connections with them.
“If they do not have moral fibre, they should invite Methodist Church Nigeria to re-christianise them.
“This is satanic, and it is coming from the pit of hell,” he said.
The UK’s Methodist Church had taken a step closer to embracing equal marriage, after members overwhelmingly backed a measure that opens the door to same-sex unions.
The Church members at the Methodist Conference in Birmingham on July 3 voted overwhelmingly in favour of a policy that could lead to the church embracing same-sex unions.
The motion, which passed by 247 votes to 48, “consents in principle to the marriage of same-sex couples on Methodist premises… and by Methodist ministers, probationers or members.”
The vote does not automatically mean same-sex weddings are permitted, however, as the proposal will require a second vote at the July 2020 conference.

very shameful..shebi ,female episcopal(anglican) bishop in the states recently had a lady as her wife and even granted press conference to defend their union.God is so merciful to strike those people defiling his altar.let their counterpart in africa cut ties with them.

Life started in Africa and will end in Africa, they, Europeans deceived us and keep on deceiving us, what is in the scriptures are our own culture which they manipulated, now, they are bringing up their own culture, so their own end is near.

    And only the biggest fool will ignore all evidence right in front of them. Firstly, the house you live in definitely has a creator; right? Your house did not appear by chance, isn’t it? Therefore the heaven and earth must and certainly has a creator. What about the air you breathe, the water you drink, the food you eat (imagine how amazing you throw a seed on the ground and within few days it’s starts to grow), what about the sun and moon etc. These favours from the lord of the universe are uncountable, its only the biggest fool that will not ponder about these and disregard all the lord’s creations. May almighty God remove you from darkness and guide you towards the right path.
