Oct 29, 2014 – Michael Sata Is Dead: Prostate Cancer Killed Zambian President
The President of Zambia, Michael Sata has died.
The dictator reportedly passed away yesterday at a cancer treatment hospital in London.
An official who requested anonymity said the 77-year-old battled prostate cancer secretly for a while.
He has travelled all over the world in search of solution and his public appearances had grown increasingly rare since June of this year.
He lost his battle to the killer deceased on Tuesday evening.
The official said a covert battle for his succession has been raging in the ruling Patriotic Front.
He said Sata fired justice minister Wynter Kabimba, one of the frontrunners to succeed him in August.
An election is not due until 2016.
His cabinet meeting and an announcement were expected later Wednesday.
