The military has raided five shrines being used by Niger Delta militants in Cross River State.
According to JTF spokesman for the state, Lt Commander Thomas Otuji, the shrines located at Debe and Ikot Ofing area of Akpabuyo LGA of Cross River state were raided earlier in the week.
The Operation Delta SAFE troop also arrested 2 militant leaders after the discovery of the three human skulls.
The troops nabbed some oil thieves operating illegal refineries at Bennet Island, Asugbo in Warri Delta state.
A locally made gun, five live cartridges, a crude laden wooden boat storage tank, seven speed boats with outboard engines were seized at the site.
