Nollywood Actress Susan Peters Slams Touts Burning Banks To Protest Naira Scarcity
Nollywood Star Susan Peters Condemns Bank Burning as a Means of Protesting Naira Scarcity by Touts
Susan Peters, an actress, has claimed that those behind the protests against the cash scarcity and vandalism of public properties are mischief makers who do not have money in their bank accounts. While acknowledging the urgency of the country’s current situation, Peters argued that violence and the burning of banks and other public facilities would be counterproductive since the damage caused would persist even after the present crisis has ended. She warned those participating in these violent activities to stop immediately.
Her words:
“Hey everyone! How’re you all doing? Hope you all are doing great?! Well, situation in the country, is a call for concern”, she said in a video shared on her Instagram page.
“But that doesn’t mean you people should be going around burning banks and all. Shey when una burn am finish, na still the same bank when everything calm down, same bank go still pay una money, abi?
“I think I realised that most of the people who are even coming out to protest, dem no even get money for bank. But just make dem just destroy something, make their minds sweet; naim una dey do.
