Dec 5, 2017 – NNPC MD Maikanti Baru  Urges Nigerians To Stop Panic Buying As He Cuts Short London Trip To Fix Fuel Scarcity Problem

In order to fix the troubling fuel scarcity problem in some parts of the country, the Group MD of NNPC, Maikanti Baru has cut short his London trip abruptly and has returned home.

Dr Baru who was billed to accept Forbes Oil & Gas Man of the Year Award in London today returned home to address the urgent issue.

Speaking shortly before he left London this morning, Dr Baru urged Nigerians to stop panic buying as the Corporation was doing everything within its reach to address the situation.

He directed that more truckload of petroleum products be dispatched to various parts of the country to  cushion the effects of excessive demand caused by panic buying.
