The producer of popular Nollywood movie Last Flight to Abuja, Mr Obi Emelonye is currently in police detention for using drone to shoot the aerial view of the Shoprite Mall in Ikeja Lagos.

He was arrested today while filming around Ikeja Lagos using remote helicopter.

Here is his Facebook update:

“Just been arrested with my team from the UK by Lagos TV for taking aerial shots of Lagos around Shoprite Ikeja using remote helicopters. As a media house they should understand what we are trying to do. But they want to put me in jail for making Lagos look great. I am resined to my fate and allowed God to take control. Challenges we face in trying to grown the industry. Pray for me and pray for Nigeria #free-obi”

  1. I don’t support anyone using drone to take the aerial view of any place in Nigeria presently bcos we are battling terrorism
Let them investigate him thoroughly before releasing him

  2. His intention may be genuine as a movie director but he shouldnt have gone that far to highten fear in a populated state like lagos especially when issue of national security comes to play.release him after few koboko lashes.
