August 1st, 2016 – #OgaPlease Goes Viral As Nigerian Man Caught Wearing Military Uniform Cries Like A Baby
#Ogaplease is the new hashtag currently trending on the social media in Nigeria after Gidi Traffic obtained a funny video of a Naija man caught wearing a military camo shirt he bought from Katangora market.
The unidentified Naija man was left with no option than to cry like a baby as he begged the soldiers who arrested him for impersonation.

I’m surprised that up till today, many people do not know that wearing these uniforms is an offence. Another guy will still do this tomorrow, even after seeing this video.

@ metu, I always love to read your comments but kinda disagree with you on this one. .does the law says is an offense wearing this camouflage if one is not in the army??
In my over 15 years in North America have never seen anyone harassed you wearing a damm camouflage. I heard one of them soldier at the background said bring the rifle fire him leg. .just like that??
Well you still ma favorite. .peace!
Can my people keep it real..

Thanks@Realest Reality! Our feelings are mutual.
I may not know where it is ever enshrined in Nigeria’s constitution that wearing a military camouflage is an offence. But necessity has marked it out as an offence. Between America and Nigeria yawns an unbridgeable gulf of difference. In America, people don’t fear the military men; they RESPECT them. In short, the respect is tending towards adoration or reverence, and any civilian who wears that uniform does so as a way of identifying with them because of their sense of duty. They do not molest civilians just to show power; the only place they show their power is at duty.
But here in Nigeria, no human being in his full presence of mind will sincerely say they respect the army. Na fear de kill us here because military brutality on innocent civilians is hardly punished. So the guys are virtually free to do as they please. This earns them dread from the civilians, and many people have mistaken this dreadful fear as respect. We don’t respect anybody. Respect and fear are never the same.
Now, we know that Nigeria is high with criminal tendencies, and so when a civilian puts on that camouflage, it is not illogical to suspect that he might want to use it and instill fear on people. On countless occasions have we had cases of criminals who geared up like military men in order to have a successful operation. If Nigerians respected the military men, I do not think that criminals would have been using military camouflage for armed robbery and other criminal activities. But we fear, and fear paves the way for them.
Nigeria, God willing, may someday mentally develop like the US. But until then, it remains necessary to thoroughly grill whoever is found in a military uniform, for security reasons.

I heard someone SAID BRING THAT RIFLE FIRE HE LEDS FIRST just because he’s wearing a camouflaged t-shirt.
If he’s wearing it to do any crime or cut in any criminal activity wearing that then that’s cool fire the shit out of him in the brain but if not God save Nigerian security forces especially the military.

I don’t now why people loves putting themselves in trouble. Can this man swear that he’s not aware and he’s not been told by friends or well wishers that it is wrong to wear such uniform or polo? Rubbish
