September 14, 2016 – Opinion: Jonathan’s N65M Travel & N67Million Fertilizer Expenses Story, APC Ploy To Distract Nigerians

Opinion article by Commentator Endure

All the recent corruption news headlines against Jonathan and his wife is a mere ploy and tactic of APC to showcase their crusade, hate, propaganda in an effort to divert the attention of Nigerians from their ineptitude, incompetency, lack of good economy policy and capability to move the nation forward.

Nothing! virtually nothing has being achieved by Buhari-led government other than undiminished announcement and publicity of how Goodluck Jonathan have embezzled public funds.

That is the news they often want the Nigerians to read and that is what will continue to make headline until 2019 of non achievement,no fixing of economy, severe hardship, lack of employment, high inflation and total collapse of our economy.

Nigerians are sick, tired and have heard enough of this promulgation of every day PDP embezzlement of funds. If you carry out an investigation and found Goodluck Jonathan guilty, then prosecute him, send him to jail.

Others should be investigated and should meet the same fate if found guilty. What we Nigerians need now is food on the table. There is serious agitation among Nigerian populace especially over lack of employment and prices of commodities in the markets.

The company where I work announced last week that after Salla celebration, they are going to embark on massive retrenchment of workers that will see as many as 200 workers both male and female laid off from work.

Many here have started panicking and someone can understand their frustration. When we asked the white expatriate who owns the company the reason for their planned layoff,  we were told they are trying to cut cost because of economic recession.

So we can now see the glimpse of frustration, agitation and the cry among Nigerians now.

So far, prosecution and trial of money launderers-zero.
Reasonable Steps in fixing the economy-zero.

Does the APC government want the masses, many of whom cannot even read and write and are largely feeding on less than a dollar a day,who are also dying of hunger and malnutrition every day by day be happy with the government for bringing only incessant headline news of corrupt PDP officials?

All these headlines absolutely mean nothing to millions of hungry Nigerians. What the masses need now is action and practical ways to bring lasting solution to the famine that has struck the nation due to poor economic reform of the current government. And not the never ending drum beat of embezzlements of the past administration.

No wonder the empty slogan of change!change! Sai Baba, sai Buhari has finally ceased on the streets without anyone using the mantra.

The APC government have to wake up from their slumber and stop their empty deceit of never ending jingle bell in announcing PDP corruption and headlines of embezzlement that marked their predecessor’s government and seek for ways to reverse the catastrophic damage they’ve mostly caused our economy.

THIS DISPENSATION IS getting more interesting by the day. APC could boast of our dear, consisent Omokehinde, and PDP may not mind singing a love song with Endure’s name. Let’s say it is a football match. The score is 1:1. I am the center referee. I think Huchenaar and D Hunter are the linesmen, judging that they have not yet taking sides. Or have they? I should be careful what I say o!

Simply copy and paste my comments on an earlier related post as it holds true in this instance also. In summary, the present administration should act fast to repair Nigeria’s economy and to provide jobs. It does not matter what or who brought our country to this position; just do something to aid its recovery. The inaction is making people despair. Indeed it is permissible to take action even if it turns out to be a wrong move rather than this stand still and blame with no action scenario.

Please those closer to the change founders shholud please help us to tell them that Nigerians are sick and tired of listening to the same story everyday. Whatever mistake the past administration has made, shouldn’t have affected nigeria for the past one year plus now. I think this present administration has no plan; because If they do have, they would have provided the solution to whatever challenge the past administration has left on board.

My dear is no longer CHANGE, IS NOW CHAINED.
NIGERIANS ARE CHAINED to the wheels of poverty and hopelessness and that wagon is heading to disaster!

I am really sorry for this country. Goodluck Jonathan made $50b during the oil windfall and nothing to show for it and people can still defend him. Whereas PMB came in to sanitize the whole system and most people are complaining. What exactly do we want in this country? Remember that a whole house can be destroy completely within a day but that same house cannot be rebuilt within that same day. People, please apply this simple analogy to PMB administration before moaning and complaining. Even the wise ones say “Rome wasn’t built in a day.”

haha @metu you funny oo why not make me the referee lol..
@METU let me use this opportunity to tell you that i refuse to take sides all i want and have ever prayed for is a better Nigeria no matter who and whichever party.
SINCE THE ASSUMPTION OF POWER by the present government it as always been looting here looting there situation. and for me as a Nigerian am beginning to get bored of such headlines but come to think of it the people involved in this sinful act are they worthy of going away with our sweat ‘NO’. i concur with the fact that our money should be taken back from them and they should pay dearly for trying to run away with our sweat.
ON THE OTHER HAND have began to notice that the present administration is just too found of naming looters and nothing more. if you are to hear a press release from the President PRO tomorrow then it will be about loot and recover loot. it seems the government has been using this headlines to cover our eyes from seeing what is really happening forgetting that even though we are weeping we can still make use of our eyes to see. i so much subscribe to the writers opinion that this is nothing but a propaganda and a trick devised to make us lose concentration on what is going on..
I WAS ANGRY with the way the past administration allowed so much corruption under his watch but later realised that the so called anti corruption government we are running as also slept and allow corruption under his nose (budget padding)
TO CUT THE LONG story short i will suggest that PMB administration look for a way forward and stop deceiving us with the probing going all around. if he wants to probe fine it for our own good but that should not disturb other programmes because with the way things are going now i can still smell cluelessness on the part of our government.
