Nigerian Actor Pete Edochie Mourns Late Grandson In An Unusual Way

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie is mourning the death of his grandson in an unusual way.

The actor lost one of his grandkids, Kambili Edochie earlier this week.

The heartbroken grandfather disclosed in an interview with Vanguard, saying that he received the sad news from his son, Yul Edochie, who called him to inform him of the incident.

Pete Edochie further disclosed that he and his family immediately started praying for Kambili when they received the news. Describing the deceased as an exceptional child, the legendary actor revealed that Kambili was a very quiet, talented and brilliant child. He added that Kambili was an unusual person who couldn’t be easily influenced or angered, no matter the situation.

He stated that he always told Yul Edochie that people like Kambili, who excel in everything they do, don’t last long on earth. The loss of Kambili has left the family devastated as they are yet to reveal what triggered the seizure that led to his untimely death.

Here is what Pa Edochie told Vanguard in a recent chat:

“Kambilinachukwu is a very quiet, brilliant and talented child. He’s not somebody you can ride easily. He doesn’t get angry no matter the situation.

He may change his composure, but he was definitely a very unusual person in so many respects. He was so accomplished. I always tell my son that I don’t like people excelling like this in any thing they are involved in. Experience has taught me that such people don’t last long”.

The passing of Kambili has come as a shock to many fans of the Edochie family and the Nollywood industry at large. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Edochie family during this difficult time.

I disagree with Pete Edochie on this insensitive statement.
You can’t say this and go free in my family. It is utterly insensitive.
What do you mean people that excel in everything in life don’t last long, that is not a good statement to make from a grandpa standpoint.
