A shrine used by criminals to defraud victims has been uncovered in Abeokuta North LGA of Ogun State.
The shrine tagged Pokuku is built inside a 2-bedroom mud house at Pokuku village in Abeokuta.
When police stormed the place following tip offs, the criminals have escaped.
However, a man identified as Haruna Moshood who is said to be the ring leader of the gang was arrested.
34-year-old Moshood told police he joined the gang in 2015 and moved them into his house.
He said the gang makes money by playing on the greed of victims looking for quick money.
