Former Super Falcons Captain Ifeanyi Stephanie Chiejine Is Dead

The former captain of Nigeria’s female under 19 team, The Falconets has died.

Ifeanyi Chiejine who scored 15 goals for Nigeria in over 61 matches died of Malaria fever last night.

According to her friends, she walked to the hospital by herself around 8pm last night where she was given injection.

Sadly, she died about 2 hours later.

Ifeanyi who made history as the youngest player ever at the Women’s World Cup in 1999 passed on exactly 10:09pm on Wednesday the 21st of August 2019 at a private hospital on the island.

She was aged 36.

May her soul rest in peace.

  1. Was there any test done before they gave her injection? Any sickness in Nigeria is either Malaria or Typhoid. Go to hospital in Nigeria and complain of fever and the next thing they give you Drip and tell you you have malaria if not typhoid. No blood work is done. Our so called leaders know this very well and that is why they run to overseas when they are sick even for simple headache. God will punish those who put Nigeria in this shape.

  2. I fear Nigerian doctors more than anyone else. They are quick into conclusion. Without carrying out any test once they see ur temperature rise they will diagnose u with malaria

  3. that must have being he wrong kind of injection or an expired on, because these days it is unheard of to die to malaria, this isnt the Victorian times.. it is simply a case of mis-diagnosis

  4. The government should not allowed inocent Nigerians to continue to die in the hands of this quack doctor’s they are becoming to many.
