Tiwa Savage: Why I Cancelled My Concert In South Africa
Nigerian sonsgress Tiwatope Savage has pulled out of her upcoming concert in South Africa saying that she would no longer be performing at a festival scheduled to hold in Johannesburg later this month.
She made this known yesterday via Twitter. She described the attacks on Nigerians and other nationals in South Africa as “sick” and said that was the reason, she would not be participating in the festival sponsored by South Africa-owned firm, DSTV.
Here is the content of her tweet:
“I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason, I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.”
