Why Nollywood Legends Omotola Jalade & Genevieve Nnaji Are Never Overrated

It is  Thursday and always a day to reminisce about the past, why we regularly just show you throwback photos of your favourite actors, this time around, We just want to remember the glorious days of two super women in Nollywood, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and Genevieve Nnaji.

So an article popped up online which stated that Both Omotola and Genevieve are highly overrated, and while many applauded the writer of the article, others saw it as an insult to the two Nollywood icons.

What many seems to forget is that Omotola and Genevieve have paid their dues, they set a pace that will be a little bit hard for others to catch up to, they have set this record that they will continue to receive accolades for and for a long time at that.

Why? Why are they so overrated? What have they done that other actors haven’t?? These questions may be running through your minds right now, but then again why not?

These ladies brought us quality entertainment and top notch acting, with little or no high tech equipment like this generation actors and film makers have.

With low quality cameras, not too amazing editing, less appealing locations, little or no make up to enhance their beauty, e.t.c, all they had was a good story line, and their acting skills to give us quality entertainment, and yes they gave us that and more.

So we might argue this for as long as time may allow us to, but the truth still remains that Genevieve and Omotola are Nollywood icons, they are not overrated and for every accolade they get, they are deserving of it.
