May 4, 2015 – Young Mother Who Dumped Son At Lagos Filing Station Arrested
Blessing Goodluck, a 23-year-old mother who allegedly tortured her 9-year-old son Kingsley and abandoned him at a gas station in Agabo area of Lagos has been nabbed by police.
Blessing was eventually captured at a house on Sule Babalola Street in Agbado where she was arrested for child abuse.
This is what the suspect told police:
“I have realised that I over-reacted. Kingsley is very stubborn and troublesome. He won’t sit at home. He will be jumping from one house to another. I was frustrated. I promise it will never happen again. I have learnt my lesson.”
She is currently in police detention.

Hmmm!!!!!! I’m not in anyway at wht so ever saying wht she did or had done is acceptable at all No it isn’t , but I must say some kids can drive u mad, like real mad one will begin to ask questions wht sort of child is this. U knw wht I mean like u feel ur losing the plot sort of this! And in this country where u can’t as a matter of law use some kind of words for ur kids let alone give them a tap on there back hand ! Most mum have been on this lane before and still are on the lane, wht has worked for me and is till working is ask urself how was I when I was his/ her age? Maybe even worst that the kid, change the way u speak to the child, we have tendencies of shouting rather than talking to a child ,let go of the child’s mistakes some times, talking in a claim manner and respectful gives a child room for thots! Spend more time with the kids on ur free days, give 15mis of ur time every other day, show the child love and correct bad behaviour in a calm way and explain why that isn’t on at all, if the behaviour carries on and no change seek for medical help. Not every stubborn child is bad u knw, there are lots of facts that make a child seem stubborn. Most importantly take it to the Lord in prayer he is the superm of all. Just saying it may be useful to whom ever that reads the comment. * we want to be good mothers to our kids* respect to mothers safe!!!!
