Sept 5, 2011 – The Gulder Ultimate Search experienced a massive turn out for its audition that took place last week in Lagos. Now a yearly reality TV show, the popularity of the show has been growing among Nigerian youth who see it as an opportunity to pursue careers in the Entertainment industry.
On the first day of the physical screening exercise, participants who registered for the show besieged the National Stadium, Surulere for the Lagos screening. The winner of the Gulder Ultimate Search will get N7 million cash prize money, a brand new 2011 luxury SUV and a N500, 000 wardrobe allowance. The winner will also be inducted into the Gulder Ultimate Search Hall of Fame and bear the title of the Ultimate Man.
Barely three weeks after registration opened, Gulder Ultimate Search had over 21,000 Nigerian youths registered to participate in the reality TV show. Other auditions took place in Abuja, Benin and Owerri.
